Just How Quickly Does The Internet Work?

Seriously, this kid Greyson Chance might have the quickest transition from internet obscurity to television stardom. Watching his video, just three days ago, I was laughing at all the teenage girls who were completely mesmerized by Chance playing the piano at his middle school (I laugh only because I was one of those girls once...who am I kidding I'm still like that now).

Mere weeks after placing the video on the internet his face is plastered over every news outlet and people can't get enough. That other Youtube sensation, Justin Beiber, better watch his back. In this era being 16 is too old and America already needs some new meat.

Posted on Chance's own Youtube channel on April 28th, his video, where he covers Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi", has already been viewed over 9 million times. This number will only continue to soar after this afternoons appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show. The kid even got to talk to Ms. Gaga herself when she phoned in a positive review for the young singer!

Seeing Lady Gaga perform "Paparazzi" live is how she won me over, and Chance has done the same. If you are one of the slim minority of people who have not seen this kid belting out his soul on the piano, check it out. Chance definitely has, what we call, it.
